Why am I buillding this???
Every time I start something new, I ask myself the same set of questions:
Why do I want to do this?
Why does this matter enough to build?
Who is this for?
For Shifts, the answer came fast — because there's a stigma I'm tired of watching multi-passionate entrepreneurs carry. The idea that if you're building more than one thing, you're not serious. That if you've pivoted before, you'll never commit. That bouncing between ideas means you'll never make it.
I don't believe that.
Multi-passionate solopreneurs don't start over. They start again — from a place of experience every single time.
The problem was never the ideas. It was never the ambition or the passion or the drive. The problem is infrastructure. You have more ideas than systems to hold them. So as soon as one idea arrives, another one follows — and you chase it, because nothing you've built so far was designed to carry both at once.
I've lived that cycle. Building my own business while managing operations for others. Pursuing an MBA. Raising a family. Pouring into all of it — and watching things become unsustainable, not because I lacked commitment, but because everything I'd built only worked when I was personally running it. I was the system. And the system was exhausted.
What I realized — what changed everything — is this: all of your ideas are already connected. The thread running through every venture, every passion, every pivot is you. So instead of starting from scratch every time a new idea arrives, what if you built around the one thing that's already at the center of all of it?
That's what Shifts is. A space where multi-passionate solopreneurs can come and do the work — without judgment, without the pressure to pick one thing — and build the backend that holds all of it.
